The Snark Factor - Virginia Maps, Boomer Mansions, and Cruise Ship Weddings
This week on The Snark Factor, I’m joined by guest co-host Teri Christoph of Smart Girl Politics.
We start with Virginia’s redistricting fight, where a narrowly approved referendum could let Democrats redraw the state’s congressional map — possibly turning a 6–5 split into something much closer to 10–1. Teri walks through the legal challenge, the fight at the Virginia Supreme Court, and why this story matters well beyond Virginia.
Then we get into America’s housing mess, the latest round of blame aimed at baby boomers, and whether the real problem is older homeowners staying put — or the fact that starter homes have basically become an endangered species.
And finally, cruise-ship weddings are apparently a thing now.
Naturally, this leads to destination-wedding etiquette, norovirus, rogue waves, family members trapped at sea, and why I remain deeply opposed to boats unless someone invents a cigar balcony and a time machine.
